UNSUBSCRIBE PROCESS - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Dear Sir/Madam,
First and foremost, please note that we did not send you the email advertisement you received. Find Your Customers, Inc. does not
directly send emails except in rare instances where we send follow up emails after you have previously completed
our application form.
Find Your Customers, Inc. is an advertiser and we contract with companies (“Email Senders”) that have permission-based email lists
that send out our advertisements for us and other advertisers. Sometimes, if you have completed an application on
our web site before, we may also send you follow up emails ourselves. Both we, the advertiser, and the Email Senders,
are subject to regulations on how to send email including the Federal CAN-SPAM Act (the “Act”). We believe the Act
will enhance the capabilities of legitimate online businesses to market effectively, and we are fully in support of
its provisions. We applaud its intent to minimize the unintended, negative impact which unsolicited email can have on
our valued current and prospective customers. As such, legitimate online businesses such as us wish to ensure that our
contact with all potential customers is a positive experience. We also want to ensure that any company that sends emails
for us does so in a manner which is in accordance with all legal requirements. To read about our efforts to
ensure compliance with email rules and regulations see the section below entitled “Our Efforts To...”. By virtue of you now
visiting this portion of our site, we can see that you also share this concern.
Entry of your email address above on this page will not stop you from receiving emails from the Email Sender who sent
our advertisement but it will stop you from receiving emails for Find Your Customers, Inc. from the Email Sender for the ad you received
as well as from other Email Senders we work with. To opt out of receiving any email offers from the Email Sender, please go
back to the original Find Your Customers, Inc. email you received and click on the additional unsubscribe or opt-out link not associated
with Find Your Customers, Inc. and follow the instructions for removal.
How the Advertiser Unsubscribe Process Works (To stop receiving ads for Find Your Customers, Inc.):
If you enter your email into the Unsubscribe box, above, we will compile your email address along with our other
collected email opt-out requests into a master “Suppression List” provided to all Email Senders. Before any Email
Senders send an advertisement for Find Your Customers, Inc. in the future, they are required to “suppress” all emails in the
Suppression List, meaning that they cannot send our advertisement to any email address that is included in this master
Suppression List. By entering your email, you authorize Find Your Customers, Inc. to add your email address to this list and provide
it to those Email Senders for the sole purpose of ensuring Find Your Customers, Inc. offers are not sent to the email address you
entered on this page.
Although we have implemented technology to expedite the process, it may take up to 10 business days for your unsubscribe
request to take effect. Once your unsubscribe request is received, we do our best to ensure that all Email Senders remove
your email address prior to sending our advertisement in the future.
If you continue to receive our advertisement from any Email Sender more than 10 days after entering your email address
above, please forward the advertisement email to abuse@findyourcustomers.com or contact us directly at (866) 488-2724. We will work
quickly to identify and stop individuals who do not comply with our unsubscribe policies. We apologize for any inconvenience
we may have caused you.
How the Email Sender (Publisher) Unsubscribe Process Works (To stop receiving ads from the email sender other than ads for Find Your Customers, Inc.):
You received our advertisement because at some point you opted in or gave permission to an Email Sender to send you third
party offers. In order for you to stop receiving any further emails from the Email Sender (including those emails that do not
reference Find Your Customers, Inc.), you must unsubscribe from their email list. To unsubscribe, please go back to the original Find Your Customers, Inc.
email you received and click on the additional unsubscribe or opt-out link not associated with Find Your Customers, Inc. and follow the
instructions for removal. This is usually the second unsubscribe link included further down in the email you received. By
clicking on this link, your email will sometimes be automatically removed from the Email Sender’s database, or in most instances
you will be directed to another web page where you will be prompted to enter your email address to be removed from all mailings
from Email Sender.
Please note that all email senders who are authorized to provide email offers are expressly required to have proper “from”
information in the email, a subject heading that is not deceptive or misleading, have fully functional opt-out mechanisms,
include a valid postal address, must identify the e-mail as a commercial advertisement or solicitation, and the email must
have proper and accurate content and otherwise be in full satisfaction of the CAN-SPAM Act.
Our Efforts to Make Sure All Email Senders Comply with Email Rules and Regulations:
We require that Email Senders that we work with follow strict permission-based email policies to insure that mail is only
sent to people who have asked to receive it, and we take extensive measures to monitor Email Senders and prevent them from
sending unsolicited commercial email (or "Spam"). Our anti-Spam policy is something we take very seriously; therefore we have
implemented the following procedures:
Complaint Tracking:
We have established a system to gather, review and respond to complaints regarding our contracted Email Senders.
Customer Service Hotline:
Although not legally required, Find Your Customers, Inc. has taken the additional step of implementing a customer
service hotline so that our customers can communicate their concerns by telephone in addition to the industry standard of
email only.
Third-Party Compliance Monitoring:
We are only the second company to utilize Lashback’s (www.lashback.com) CAN-SPAM
Compliance Monitor (the “Service”) to monitor and provide us with assistance in monitoring CAN-SPAM compliance. The Service
involves: (1) Lashback’s sampling ransom emails sent by our Email Senders; (2) independently verifying that the emails meet
CAN-SPAM requirements; and (3) sending Find Your Customers, Inc. real-time email notifications regarding compliance-related issues
involving Email Senders. Compliance-related issues include, but are not limited to: suppression list abuse by Email Senders,
Email Senders’ failure to honor unsubscribe requests, no postal address provided, no unsubscribe option, deceptive subject lines,
deceptive from lines, sends through open relays, sends to harvested e-mails and forged e-mail headers. As of the date of
preparation of this disclosure, Lashback identified itself as having monitored 5,455,706 email senders.
Lashback and our customer service hotline are important ingredients in achieving our goal of industry-leading compliance
and best practices.
